Fijian People

Native Fijians are thought to have migrated from Egypt around 2500BC. They were once cannibals, but you’d never know it to visit today. I found the native population to be extremely warm and friendly. They comprise roughly half the population. During it’s hayday as a British colony, the Brits brought in laborers from India to work on the plantations. Many of the laborers stayed permanently, and Eastern Indians now make up most of the other half of the population.
